Oswald Chambers was serving as a chaplain to front-line soldiers in World War I when he died unexpectedly. Those soldiers were so powerfully affected by his teaching and ministry they insisted he be granted a burial with full military honors! After his death, his wife collected his writings and lessons into a book, My Utmost for His Highest, which has sold more copies than any Christian book in history except the Bible.  Join us in this interactive exploration of Chambers' wisdom on Scripture, en route to discovering the "so-whats" everyone needs to live contented, fruitful lives.
Each day, I'll be blogging thoughts and reflections on Oswald Chambers devotional, with short-cut "So-Whats" for readers from a work, a family and a community perspective.  PLUS: We've added comment sections to most of our pages to help you help us explore truth!  Also, don't miss our fun links, posted at the end of daily blogs under CuriousChristian's Best Finds, a chance to discover our favorite websites, topics, videos, ideas, projects, pictures and more!

If you're too busy to read that day's devotional, or the blog of that devotional, the So-What's might still be useful.  They'll look like this:

So-Whats for Work: The thing done quickly is almost always the thing done wrong. This is as true in our work lives as it is in our spiritual lives.

So-Whats for Home: Unlike God, we parents have to earn the right to say "because I say so”. While God’s just nature immediately grants Him our trust, we must work to explain, as often as practicable and possible, why we’re doing certain things in our children’s lives.  When we teach them to trust us to have their best interests at heart, we teach them how to trust God, too.

So-Whats for Community: When we make our faith about public acts of holiness, we make it about earning salvation instead of receiving grace.

Where to begin?  If you haven't joined us from the start (officially January 26), we recommend you go back and read the post for January 1, then fast forward to today's date!  No need to backfill unless you want to, but you can certainly check out the post lists, which have topics listed under the titles.  And, every post is now searchable, from this page! One last item: Although Oswald Chambers' initials are OC, those initials are over-used in our culture, so we've gone with OW. Whenever you see OW in a blog, it's referencing Oswald Chambers' original writing.

NEW ALERT: Here's a section we've called "Game-changing faith". Go to March 1, and follow the posts for five days, through March 5.  If your heart's seeking God, Oswald Chambers will set it ablaze in those five days.

Looking for January 9-20 blogs? They've been pulled for corrections to links, and will go live again the first week of February.
