The Scripture passage for today is Acts 20:24: However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

     If you’re called to live like the Apostle Paul, or like Oswald Chambers, then God is asking you to make your life a bobsled run.  And if you’re reading this blog, there’s a high likelihood that’s what you’re being called to…

     Why? Because only hard cores read Oswald Chambers, and it’s the hard cores God wants stepping up to live the dangerous life, the life that could be turned upside down in a minute to take a new track.

     Except…

     …truth is, God wants anyone who’s willing to make that bobsled run.  So the newest follower or the oldest, most mature believer qualifies because it’s about how much you love God, not how deep the discipleship journey has been to date. 

     It’s a bobsled run because it changes from being about planned behavior and becomes about such a daily, intimate walk with God that you sense every turn He wants you to make before the turn is upon you.  Your walk gets exhilarating, and your every act matters; its’ the most exciting, most heart-pounding, frighteningly fulfilling faith step anyone could take. 

     And it’s a bobsled run because you don’t steer, you just ride…

So-Whats for Work:  The power of a close walk with Jesus Christ is a power that translates into the most fulfilling labor you’ll ever do.

So-Whats for Home:  An intimate walk with Jesus Christ is the best way to learn how to love family.
