Change agent

John 21:17:  The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

So-Whats for Work:  Only adoring believers have the intimate relationship needed to change the world with God; the rest of us are only tenders, water-treaders trying to limit the damage, 'til we get to that place in our relationship with Him.

So-Whats for Home:   Loving parents get some taste of this adoring love from children who suddenly wake up to just how much their parents really did for them; that's the love God wants from us.

So-Whats for Community Too many Christians are satisfied to be pre-Resurrection Peters in their love for Jesus; while the world waits for the post-Resurrection faces.

Powerful faith

John 21:17:  The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

So-Whats for Work:  So long as we wonder about our love for God, even the things we do at work will be tentative and sporadically useful in our roles as stewards of Creation.  The workplace lacks the redemptive influence of Jesus Christ because of the timidity of the love of His followers.

So-Whats for Home:   Once we learn to be certain of our love for Jesus, the floodgates of love's deepest meanings become available not only to us, but to our families as well.

So-Whats for Community History does repeat itself.  Twelve men or women willing to love Jesus like His earliest disciples did could turn the world on its ear again.

Active faith

John 21:17:  The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

So-Whats for Work:  Most Christians try to let their faith influence their work, an outside-in approach that has sporadic effectiveness, at best.  God wants an inside-out approach: Only after we've been changed are we equipped to change the world around us.

So-Whats for Home:  The hardest job in the world is being a loving parent, child, spouse, family member, and the best way to be ready for that job is the path we've been exploring in the March 1-3 blog posts.

So-Whats for Community The world will never be ready to embrace the changes God requires; our best hope is to push back the darkness by bringing redemption to every corner of Creation, and then turning our attention to introducing our those we meet to the love of Jesus.

Knowing God

Acts 20:24: However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

So-Whats for Work:  The power of a close walk with Jesus Christ is a power that translates into the most fulfilling labor you'll ever do.

So-Whats for Home:  An intimate walk with Jesus Christ is the best way to learn how to love family.

So-Whats for Community Only Christians on the bobsled run Oswald Chambers talks about today are going to be used by God to make the kind of changes we all dream of making.

Game-changing faith

Acts 20:24: However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

So-Whats for Work:  Your workplace needs you to have the (k)* faith; so do you coworkers.

So-Whats for Home:  Your family needs you to have the (k)* faith.

So-Whats for Community Our world needs you to have the (k)* faith.

*(K)= Jesus-loves-me childlike faith that wakes up one day to realize the Holy Spirit is with you every second of every day and God and Jesus love you like you're the person They built heaven for, the kind of faith that changes everything.
